ABOUT

Credo Psychology

Daniel Funston, Registered Psychologist 

Daniel is a Registered Psychologist with over a decade of experience providing psychological counselling and other mental health related services. Daniel has experience supporting individuals with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety, workplace stress, workplace bullying, pain management, trauma, bereavement, critical incident management, vocational change and drug/alcohol use. Daniel is from a rural farming background and has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. He has extensive experience providing support to workers in the agricultural, mining / resources sector and other remote settings.

 

Over the past 12 years, Daniel has provided support through mental health care plans as well as those injured in motor vehicle accidents and supporting clients injured or who experience psychological distress due to a workers compensation accident or incidents.

Daniel focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship and tailors the appropriate evidenced based strategies to fit the individual needs and circumstances. Daniel uses approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Based Brief Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT  and other evidence-based interventions depending on the needs of the client. Daniel also has extensive knowledge of the vocational rehabilitation process and still provides support with Vocational Assessments if they are not currently attending counselling with Credo Psychology already.
